Women’s Summer Retreat at Wilderness Lakes Retreat, Sisters, Or.

What a beautiful place ... a mountain retreat complete with snow capped mountains and a lake. After check-in, the ladies of Faith Lutheran served up dinner and we enjoyed an evening of fellowship, prayer and singing. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were just down the hall. Friday morning after breakfast we considered how a Christian comes to others only through Jesus Christ, followed by a group study of Saul’s conversion. After lunch there was time for activities inside and out. Puzzles, reading, visiting, card games, bird house painting, and working on personal projects kept some ladies inside. While others took to the lake where there were boats and canoes plus as well as trails for stretching our legs. The deer came by frequently, and we enjoyed watching them. Evenings gave us an opportunity to have a campfire and music. Saturday we discussed the idea that through Jesus Christ, we are able to love, show mercy, and forgive others beginning in our own Christian community, along with a study of a parable of love mercy and forgiveness. Each meal we shared the labor, however the cooks deserve the credit for all of the great meals. Sunday Pastor Tim lead us in a worship service prior to leaving. A big thank you to the ladies of Faith Lutheran, LaPine, and a special thanks to Alison preparing and leading us in our studies. About 26 ladies of Faith Lutheran and Trinity enjoyed each other’s company over the weekend. See you next year!!
