A Message from President Nancy
Dear
friends,
Welcome to our site! We are the Oregon District Lutheran Women's
Missionary League, one of 40 districts across the USA, serving our
Lord with gladness as the official women's auxiliary organization of
the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
|
|
In the LWML women of all ages, ethnicity and from every walk of life
serve Christ by affirming each other in their faith and together
using their gifts in ministry to the people of the world. 87 Oregon
District societies support and do missionary work through prayer,
the giving of Mites (offerings collected in small 'Mite Boxes') with
the goal of $55,000 for 2006-2008 and by helping in the training of
pastors. We take seriously Jesus' commission in Matthew 28:19,20
(NIV):
"Therefore
go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and
teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And
surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
In gratitude for the Savior's dying love and His blood bought gift
of redemption, we take our place in the harvest fields and offer our
lives, love and service to the One who loved us first. We invite
you to enjoy our site and even to become a part of our Women in
Mission family as we celebrate life as God's precious children.

Joyfully in Jesus,
Nancy Nibblett, President
